Maharashtra cadre IAS officer Tukaram Mundhe, known for his strict approach, has stated he would not advise his children to join the civil services. After 21 years in service and 25 transfers, Mundhe highlighted the significant toll frequent relocations take on family life, particularly children's education and social development. His son had to change schools six times before completing fifth grade. Mundhe believes entrepreneurship or public leadership offer more freedom and less restriction for young individuals wanting to contribute to society.
