Newlywed Alleges Dowry Torture, Assault by Husband in Saudi Arabia

A 24-year-old newlywed woman has accused her husband and his family of severe dowry torture and physical abuse. The woman, Anju, alleged she was kicked in the abdomen, hit with a pressure cooker, and assaulted on her private parts. The abuse reportedly intensified after her husband took her to Saudi Arabia. She was also psychologically harassed and forced to make derogatory statements. Anju returned to Kerala and has filed a police complaint, with an investigation underway.
