India vs Pakistan Cricket Final at Asian Games Sees No Handshakes

Aaj Tak · sports

During the Asian Games men's cricket final between India and Pakistan, players from both teams did not exchange handshakes before or after the match. This contrasts with other sports like table tennis, squash, and hockey at the same event, where players maintained traditional sportsmanship. The Indian team defeated Pakistan by 19 runs to secure their second consecutive Asian Games gold medal in men's cricket. The absence of handshakes in cricket matches between the two nations has become a recurring trend since a previous encounter in 2025.
