Al Jazeera · world

Aid groups including the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and the World Food Programme (WFP) have warned of a worsening humanitarian crisis in Yemen due to intensified fighting. The WFP estimates 800,000 people are now cut off from vital food assistance as front lines shift. In Taiz, Yemen's third-largest city, approximately 600,000 people, including 200,000 women and children, lack access to food. Overwhelmed health facilities in Marib and Taiz are struggling to cope with a surge in wounded, facing shortages of essential medical supplies.
