These hotels, Polakulath Tourist Home and Monsoon Empress, are facing scrutiny for allegedly serving liquor to a 19-year-old man involved in a fatal car crash. Their bar licenses were suspended after show-cause notices were issued, prompting the hotels to challenge the excise commissioner's actions. The court's order comes after the hotels argued that decisions were made without a proper hearing.

केरल हाई कोर्ट ने एक्साइज कमिश्नर को कोच्चि के दो बार होटलों द्वारा जमा किए गए जवाबों के संबंध में सात दिनों के भीतर निर्णय लेने का निर्देश दिया है। ये होटल, पोलकुलथ टूरिस्ट होम और मॉनसून एम्प्रेस, एक घातक कार दुर्घटना में शामिल 19 वर्षीय व्यक्ति को कथित तौर पर शराब परोसने के लिए जांच का सामना कर रहे हैं। कारण बताओ नोटिस जारी होने के बाद उनके बार लाइसेंस निलंबित कर दिए गए थे, जिससे होटलों ने एक्साइज कमिश्नर की कार्रवाई को चुनौती दी थी। अदालत का यह आदेश होटलों द्वारा यह तर्क देने के बाद आया है कि उचित सुनवाई के बिना निर्णय लिए गए थे।
