Homebuyers Can Claim Interest Despite Delayed Possession

The Allahabad High Court has ruled that homebuyers do not forfeit their right to claim interest for delayed flat possession simply by accepting the property. The Lucknow bench clarified that the Real Estate Act does not specify a limitation period for such interest claims. This decision came while dismissing an appeal by Antriksh Developers concerning their Noida project, upholding a directive for the developer to pay interest to a buyer for possession.
