Karnataka Council Polls: NDA Allies BJP and JD(S) Achieve Clean Sweep

The Hindu · india

NDA partners BJP and JD(S) have secured a clean sweep in the Karnataka Legislative Council elections, winning all four seats contested. The victory is attributed to unified and coordinated grassroots efforts between the alliance partners. The BJP retained three seats it previously held, while the JD(S) successfully wrested the Bengaluru Teachers’ constituency from the Congress. This success demonstrates the potential of the alliance, which was formed during the 2024 Lok Sabha polls, and highlights the need for political survival against strong opposition.
