Several Hindu saints from Ayodhya, Ujjain, and Varanasi have supported producer Ekta Kapoor's statement regarding 'Hinduphobia' in Bollywood. They allege that while other religions are often depicted positively in Hindi films, Hinduism, its temples, and religious symbols are frequently portrayed negatively or inaccurately. Saints cited examples of films showing negative depictions of Hindu deities and positive portrayals of those opposing Hinduism. Some religious leaders have called for government action against such misrepresentations, stating that films are weakening the Sanatan Dharma and hurting religious sentiments.
