The exchange announced that over $2.5 billion in assets had been frozen due to the incident. Bitcoin fell to a six-week low of $77,646, while ether dropped to a two-month low of $2,238.76. BNB also saw a substantial drop of over 8% in the past 24 hours. Binance maintains a secure asset fund for users, primarily held in bitcoin, to protect assets during security breaches.
