Congress to Fight Drug Menace From Streets to Parliament, Says Sachin Pilot

Punjab Congress in-charge Sachin Pilot stated that the party will fight for justice for drug abuse victims from the streets to Parliament. He met the family of activist Parwinder Singh in Mansa, who was campaigning against drug abuse. Pilot announced he would submit a report to Rahul Gandhi to raise the issue in Parliament, while party workers would continue street agitations. He alleged that gangsterism and gun culture have reached dangerous levels in Punjab over the past four years, vowing to end drug abuse and the prevailing atmosphere of fear.

पंजाब कांग्रेस के प्रभारी सचिन पायलट ने कहा कि पार्टी सड़क से लेकर संसद तक नशा पीड़ितों को न्याय दिलाने के लिए लड़ेगी। उन्होंने मानसा में नशाखोरी के खिलाफ अभियान चलाने वाले कार्यकर्ता परविंदर सिंह के परिवार से मुलाकात की। पायलट ने घोषणा की कि वे इस मुद्दे को संसद में उठाने के लिए राहुल गांधी को एक रिपोर्ट सौंपेंगे, जबकि पार्टी कार्यकर्ता सड़क पर आंदोलन जारी रखेंगे। उन्होंने आरोप लगाया कि पिछले चार वर्षों में पंजाब में गैंगस्टरवाद और बंदूक संस्कृति खतरनाक स्तर पर पहुंच गई है, और उन्होंने नशीली दवाओं के दुरुपयोग और भय के मौजूदा माहौल को समाप्त करने की कसम खाई।
