Madras HC Orders CIC to Decide Professor's RTI Query in 2 Months

The professor had sought information regarding the appointment of examination controllers at his college. After an initial RTI application and subsequent appeals, he approached the High Court due to delays by the CIC. The court has now mandated the CIC to consider the appeal on its merits and pass appropriate orders, ensuring a timely resolution to the professor's query.

मद्रास हाई कोर्ट ने सेंट्रल इन्फॉर्मेशन कमीशन (CIC) को आठ हफ़्तों के अंदर पुडुचेरी के एक प्रोफेसर की दूसरी अपील पर फैसला लेने का निर्देश दिया है। प्रोफेसर ने अपने कॉलेज में परीक्षा नियंत्रकों की नियुक्ति से जुड़ी जानकारी मांगी थी। शुरुआती RTI आवेदन और बाद की अपीलों के बाद, CIC की देरी के कारण उन्होंने हाई कोर्ट का रुख किया था। कोर्ट ने अब CIC को निर्देश दिया है कि वे अपील पर उसके गुणों के आधार पर विचार करें और उचित आदेश पारित करें, जिससे प्रोफेसर के सवाल का समय पर समाधान सुनिश्चित हो सके।
