Congress to Meet BMC Over Slum Demolitions

Mumbai Congress president Varsha Gaikwad will lead a delegation to meet BMC commissioner Ashwini Bhide on Monday,. The meeting concerns the civic body's decision to demolish approximately 39,000 slum structures measuring 14 feet or more in height. This move, announced last week, has drawn opposition from Congress. The delegation includes MPs, MLAs, and corporators, who will discuss the issue with the BMC chief at 1 pm.
