UP Govt Protects 25.59 Lakh Hectares From Floods With 1,549 Projects

The Uttar Pradesh government has successfully protected over 25.59 lakh hectares of land from flooding through the completion of 1,549 flood protection projects. These initiatives, undertaken between the financial years 2022-23 and 2026-27, aim to minimize damage to agricultural land, residential areas, and rural infrastructure. An estimated 2.21 crore people across the state are expected to benefit from these projects. Additionally, the government has expanded irrigation infrastructure, completing 1,300 projects that created irrigation potential across 24.11 lakh hectares, benefiting over 1.90 crore farmers.

उत्तर प्रदेश सरकार ने 1,549 बाढ़ सुरक्षा परियोजनाओं को पूरा करके 25.59 लाख हेक्टेयर से अधिक भूमि को बाढ़ से सफलतापूर्वक बचाया है। वित्तीय वर्ष 2022-23 और 2026-27 के बीच शुरू की गई इन पहलों का उद्देश्य कृषि भूमि, आवासीय क्षेत्रों और ग्रामीण बुनियादी ढांचे को होने वाले नुकसान को कम करना है। राज्य भर में अनुमानित 2.21 करोड़ लोगों को इन परियोजनाओं से लाभ होने की उम्मीद है। इसके अतिरिक्त, सरकार ने सिंचाई बुनियादी ढांचे का विस्तार किया है, 1,300 परियोजनाओं को पूरा किया है जिससे 24.11 लाख हेक्टेयर में सिंचाई क्षमता पैदा हुई है, जिससे 1.90 करोड़ से अधिक किसानों को लाभ हुआ है।
