Liverpool will be without key forwards Alexander Isak and Cody Gakpo for their crucial Premier League match against Manchester City. Both players sustained injuries while on international duty, with Isak suffering a thigh issue and Gakpo an ankle problem. Manager Andoni Iraola confirmed their unavailability, noting that neither injury is expected to be long-term. Their absence could see young forward Lewis Koumas given a chance to lead the attack. This fixture is also significant as it marks Manchester City's first game since facing over 100 financial rule breach charges.
