Railways Boost Security for Deepavali, Warn Passengers Against Carrying Firecrackers

Southern Railway's Chennai Division has intensified security and surveillance at stations and on trains ahead of Deepavali. Passengers are strongly urged not to carry firecrackers or inflammable substances, as these pose a significant fire hazard during the festive rush. Violators face legal action under the Railways Act, 1989, including potential imprisonment and fines. The Railway Protection Force is employing explosive detection equipment and sniffer dogs, alongside enhanced CCTV monitoring and special teams, to ensure passenger safety and prevent crimes.

दक्षिण रेलवे के चेन्नई डिवीजन ने दीपावली से पहले स्टेशनों और ट्रेनों में सुरक्षा और निगरानी कड़ी कर दी है। यात्रियों से पुरजोर आग्रह किया जाता है कि वे पटाखे या ज्वलनशील पदार्थ न ले जाएं, क्योंकि त्योहारी भीड़ के दौरान इनसे आग लगने का गंभीर खतरा होता है। उल्लंघन करने वालों पर रेलवे अधिनियम, 1989 के तहत कानूनी कार्रवाई की जाएगी, जिसमें संभावित कारावास और जुर्माना शामिल है। रेलवे सुरक्षा बल यात्री सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित करने और अपराधों को रोकने के लिए विस्फोटक पहचान उपकरण और स्निफर कुत्तों का उपयोग कर रहा है, साथ ही सीसीटीवी निगरानी और विशेष टीमों को भी बढ़ाया गया है।
