Cockroach Janata Party leaders Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka have approached the Delhi High Court to challenge a two-day extension of their judicial custody. The Special Executive Magistrate had extended their custody after they were arrested for trespassing at Jantar Mantar. CJP's legal affairs head stated that the leaders should not spend any more time in jail, emphasizing the need for liberty and justice. Police argued their release could disrupt peace, but CJP's lawyer countered there was no evidence of threat. The leaders were initially remanded to five days' custody.

कॉकरोच जनता पार्टी (CJP) के नेताओं सौरभ दास और आशुतोष रंका ने अपनी न्यायिक हिरासत को दो दिनों के लिए बढ़ाए जाने को दिल्ली हाई कोर्ट में चुनौती दी है। स्पेशल एग्जीक्यूटिव मजिस्ट्रेट ने उन्हें जंतर मंतर में घुसपैठ के आरोप में गिरफ्तार करने के बाद उनकी हिरासत बढ़ा दी थी। CJP के कानूनी मामलों के प्रमुख ने कहा कि नेताओं को अब और जेल में नहीं रहना चाहिए, और स्वतंत्रता और न्याय की आवश्यकता पर जोर दिया। पुलिस ने तर्क दिया कि उनकी रिहाई से शांति भंग हो सकती है, लेकिन CJP के वकील ने इसका खंडन करते हुए कहा कि खतरे का कोई सबूत नहीं है। नेताओं को शुरू में पांच दिनों की हिरासत में भेजा गया था।
