He instructed authorities to treat young individuals struggling with addiction as patients requiring rehabilitation rather than criminals. Mann also announced the immediate purchase of new vehicles for all 117 sub-divisional DSPs across the state. He condemned the deliberate tarnishing of Punjab's image regarding drugs and stubble burning, asserting that the state is actively combating drug trafficking with its own resources.

पंजाब के मुख्यमंत्री भगवंत मान ने अधिकारियों से 'नशीले पदार्थों के खिलाफ युद्ध' अभियान को एक जन आंदोलन में बदलने का आग्रह किया है, इस बात पर जोर देते हुए कि नशीली दवाओं के दुरुपयोग से निपटना केवल पुलिस की जिम्मेदारी नहीं है। उन्होंने अधिकारियों को नशे से जूझ रहे युवा व्यक्तियों को अपराधियों के बजाय पुनर्वास की आवश्यकता वाले मरीजों के रूप में मानने का निर्देश दिया। मान ने राज्य भर के सभी 117 उप-मंडल डीएसपी के लिए तत्काल नई गाड़ियों की खरीद की भी घोषणा की।
