Google Data Centre Project Subject To HC Decision On Writ Petition

The Andhra Pradesh High Court has stated that the proposed Google data centre project in Visakhapatnam Rural Mandal will be subject to the final decision on a writ petition. The court noted that the project proceeds at the risk and cost of Vizag Hyperscale Data Centre Park Limited (VHDCPL). The petitioner's counsel argued that construction is occurring in a prohibited, eco-sensitive zone. VHDCPL maintains the project follows all rules and permissions. The court also expressed a desire to hear from Jal Biradari Founder Rajendra Singh.

आंध्र प्रदेश हाई कोर्ट ने कहा है कि विशाखापत्तनम रूरल मंडल में प्रस्तावित गूगल डेटा सेंटर प्रोजेक्ट एक writ petition पर होने वाले अंतिम फैसले के अधीन रहेगा। कोर्ट ने कहा कि यह प्रोजेक्ट Vizag Hyperscale Data Centre Park Limited (VHDCPL) के जोखिम और खर्चे पर आगे बढ़ेगा। याचिकाकर्ता के वकील ने दलील दी कि निर्माण एक प्रतिबंधित, पर्यावरण-संवेदनशील क्षेत्र में हो रहा है। VHDCPL का कहना है कि प्रोजेक्ट सभी नियमों और अनुमतियों का पालन करता है। कोर्ट ने जल बिरादरी के संस्थापक राजेंद्र सिंह को भी सुनने की इच्छा जताई।
