Actor Sshrey Pareek transitions from TV to films, emphasizing craft over social media

Times of India · entertainment

Actor Sshrey Pareek, known for TV shows like 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai', has debuted in films with 'Oye Chill Marr'. His journey into acting began unexpectedly with dance and musical plays, leading him to Mumbai for auditions. Pareek believes that despite the rise of social media influence in casting, genuine acting ability remains paramount. He feels that while competition has increased post-pandemic with pan-India casting and remote auditions, an actor's performance and connection with the audience are ultimately what sustain a show.
