A tornado warning is in effect for south-central Duplin County, North Carolina, until 2:15 p.m. EDT, with radar confirming a tornado near Wallace moving northeast. The storm was reported continuing across Duplin, Jones, Lenoir, and Onslow counties, moving past Beulaville and Potters Hill. The National Weather Service confirmed a radar-confirmed tornado on the ground and causing damage near Chinquapin and Beulaville. Residents in the warned areas were urged to seek immediate shelter in interior rooms on the lowest floor, away from windows.
