Vaishali Boat Tragedy: 13 Children Dead, Officials' Salaries Withheld

The Vaishali district administration has withheld the salaries of the Raghopur circle officer and station house officer following the death of 13 children when a private boat capsized. District Magistrate Varsha Singh stated that 13 bodies, including nine girls and four boys, were recovered, while six survivors are stable and receiving treatment. Despite a ban on boats operating after sunset, the private vessel was reportedly in use at night. Action is being initiated against the boat's owner and operators, as well as responsible officials.
