Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva has achieved a remarkable political comeback, winning a record fourth non-consecutive term as Brazil's president. The 80-year-old leftist leader secured over 51 percent of the vote in a close runoff against right-wing Senator Flavio Bolsonaro, son of former President Jair Bolsonaro. This victory marks the first time in nearly four decades a Brazilian presidential candidate has overcome a first-round defeat to win the election.
