Indian Women Control Portfolios But Lack Financial Training

Economic Times Markets · stocks

A study by Equirus Wealth reveals a significant gap in wealth succession for Indian women. While 70% of women have final say over portfolios, none received structured financial training. Four out of ten women assumed financial responsibility after a major life event, rather than through planned education. The study highlights that financial responsibility often precedes the necessary knowledge and experience for confident management. This critical gap needs addressing as substantial wealth is expected to transfer to women in the coming decade.
