Chaos erupted in the Punjab assembly on Friday as Congress MLAs demanded CM Bhagwant Mann's resignation and staged a walkout. The legislators accused the government of mishandling sacrilege cases, patronising mafias, and failing farmers. Following the walkout, Congress MLA Sukhpal Singh Khaira was suspended for the remainder of the session. This action was taken after he allegedly used objectionable language against the Chair during heated exchanges with the finance minister. The assembly witnessed slogan shouting and paper throwing amid the disruptions.
