Coal India Boosts September Supplies 12.5% Amid Rising Power Demand

Coal India Ltd (CIL) significantly increased its coal supplies by 12.5 per cent year-on-year to 61.2 million tonnes in September, driven by growing power demand. Supplies to the power sector alone rose by 10.63 per cent to 48.9 million tonnes. Coal production also saw a 9.18 per cent increase during the same month. For the second quarter of FY27, CIL's overall supplies grew 12.04 per cent, with power sector supplies up 11 per cent. These higher supplies have helped CIL reduce pithead coal stocks.

कोल इंडिया लिमिटेड (CIL) ने बढ़ती बिजली की मांग के चलते सितंबर में कोयला आपूर्ति में पिछले साल की तुलना में 12.5% की बढ़ोतरी कर 61.2 मिलियन टन कर दिया। अकेले बिजली क्षेत्र को आपूर्ति 10.63% बढ़कर 48.9 मिलियन टन हो गई। इसी महीने कोयला उत्पादन में भी 9.18% की वृद्धि देखी गई। वित्त वर्ष 27 की दूसरी तिमाही में, CIL की कुल आपूर्ति 12.04% बढ़ी, जिसमें बिजली क्षेत्र की आपूर्ति 11% अधिक रही। इन बढ़ी हुई आपूर्तियों से CIL को खदानों पर कोयले के स्टॉक को कम करने में मदद मिली है।
