NPS Charge Hike Deferred To December 1; Subscribers Get More Time

The Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA) has postponed the implementation of revised charges for the National Pension System (NPS) and NPS Lite by two months. The new fee structure, initially set for October 1, will now take effect on December 1, 2026. This extension provides subscribers additional time to understand the upcoming changes. The revised structure includes a one-time onboarding fee and an annual charge based on assets under management, with potential exemptions for certain digital channels and dormant accounts.

पेंशन फंड रेगुलेटरी एंड डेवलपमेंट अथॉरिटी (PFRDA) ने नेशनल पेंशन सिस्टम (NPS) और NPS लाइट के लिए संशोधित शुल्कों को लागू करने की तारीख दो महीने के लिए टाल दी है। नई शुल्क संरचना, जो मूल रूप से 1 अक्टूबर के लिए निर्धारित थी, अब 1 दिसंबर, 2026 से प्रभावी होगी। इस विस्तार से सदस्यों को आगामी बदलावों को समझने के लिए अतिरिक्त समय मिलेगा। संशोधित संरचना में एकमुश्त ऑनबोर्डिंग शुल्क और प्रबंधन के तहत संपत्ति के आधार पर वार्षिक शुल्क शामिल है, जिसमें कुछ डिजिटल चैनलों और निष्क्रिय खातों के लिए संभावित छूट भी है।
