This comes after the civic administration expressed doubts about receiving the allocated 13 TMC water quota. The city is currently facing weekly water cuts, with a decision on increasing restrictions deferred until after Diwali. Activists are demanding transparency from the irrigation department regarding its water management plan and specific quotas for urban and rural areas.

पुणे म्युनिसिपल कॉर्पोरेशन (PMC) के बीजेपी नेता मुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस से मिलेंगे ताकि अगले मानसून तक शहर के लिए पर्याप्त पानी सुनिश्चित किया जा सके। यह तब हो रहा है जब नागरिक प्रशासन को आवंटित 13 TMC पानी कोटा मिलने पर संदेह है। शहर में फिलहाल साप्ताहिक पानी कटौती हो रही है, और प्रतिबंध बढ़ाने का फैसला दिवाली के बाद टाल दिया गया है। कार्यकर्ता सिंचाई विभाग से उसके जल प्रबंधन योजना और शहरी व ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों के लिए विशिष्ट कोटे के बारे में पारदर्शिता की मांग कर रहे हैं।
