Nigerian Detainee Attacks Cops, Attempts Escape From Bengaluru Centre

A 43-year-old Nigerian national, Kelvin Chigoeke James, detained at a Foreigners’ Restriction Centre near Bengaluru, launched violent attacks on police personnel. He used a wall fan, steel plate, and spoon to assault officers, tore uniforms, and threatened to kill them and their families. James also attempted to escape on two separate occasions, injuring an officer during the second attempt. This incident follows a similar one in April, and James is reportedly involved in four previous cases, including attempt-to-murder charges.
