₹20 Lakh Recovered From Maoist Dumps Goes Missing, Two DSPs Under Scanner

Two Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) rank officers are under scrutiny after approximately ₹20 lakh in cash, recovered from Maoist dumps in Chhattisgarh's Kanker district earlier this year, allegedly went unaccounted for. An internal police inquiry was initiated after discrepancies were noticed in the handling and recording of the money. The two DSPs involved in the recovery operations were transferred from Kanker in mid-June.

छत्तीसगढ़ के कांकेर जिले में इस साल की शुरुआत में माओवादी dump से बरामद लगभग ₹20 लाख नकद के हिसाब-किताब में गड़बड़ी के बाद दो Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) रैंक के अधिकारी जांच के दायरे में हैं। पैसे के प्रबंधन और रिकॉर्डिंग में विसंगतियां पाए जाने के बाद एक आंतरिक पुलिस जांच शुरू की गई थी। वसूली अभियानों में शामिल दोनों DSP को जून के मध्य में कांकेर से स्थानांतरित कर दिया गया था।
