Orissa HC Seeks Replies From 3 More MLAs

The Orissa High Court has requested replies from three additional BJD MLAs regarding petitions seeking their disqualification for alleged cross-voting in the Rajya Sabha elections held in March. Justice R K Pattanaik issued the directive while hearing petitions filed by BJD concerning suspended party MLAs. The court also directed the speaker and assembly secretary to file counter affidavits. This development follows similar orders issued earlier for two other BJD MLAs.

ओडिशा हाई कोर्ट ने तीन अतिरिक्त बीजेडी विधायकों से जवाब मांगा है। ये विधायक राज्यसभा चुनावों में कथित क्रॉस-वोटिंग के चलते अयोग्य ठहराए जाने की याचिकाओं के संबंध में हैं। जस्टिस आर के पटनायक ने यह निर्देश बीजेडी द्वारा निलंबित विधायकों के बारे में दायर याचिकाओं पर सुनवाई करते हुए दिया। कोर्ट ने स्पीकर और विधानसभा सचिव को भी जवाब दाखिल करने का आदेश दिया है। यह कदम दो अन्य बीजेडी विधायकों के लिए पहले जारी किए गए ऐसे ही आदेशों के बाद आया है।
