Fifteen nomination papers have been found valid for the 2026 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council election from the Allahabad-Jhansi Graduates’ constituency. Returning officer Bimal Kumar Dubey stated that four nomination papers were rejected due to procedural deficiencies, including discrepancies in affidavits and missing signatures. Among the accepted nominations are those from BJP’s Ashok Kumar Rathore and Samajwadi Party’s Man Singh Yadav. The scrutiny process involved election officials ensuring all submitted documents met the required criteria for candidates to contest the upcoming polls.
