MEA Dismisses US Lawmaker's FCRA Bill Criticism

India's Ministry of External Affairs has dismissed criticism from a US Congressman regarding proposed amendments to the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA). The MEA stated that legislative matters are internal parliamentary decisions. It highlighted that several countries, including the US, also have regulations on foreign funding. The US lawmaker had warned that the changes could impact India-US bilateral relations.

विदेश मंत्रालय ने एफसीआरए (FCRA) में प्रस्तावित बदलावों पर एक अमेरिकी सांसद की आलोचना को खारिज कर दिया है। मंत्रालय ने कहा कि कानून बनाना संसद का आंतरिक मामला है। यह भी बताया गया कि अमेरिका सहित कई देशों में विदेशी फंडिंग को लेकर नियम हैं। उस अमेरिकी सांसद ने चेतावनी दी थी कि इन बदलावों से भारत-अमेरिका संबंधों पर असर पड़ सकता है।
