Karnataka Woman Dies After Alleging Harassment; Husband Booked For Murder

A 34-year-old woman in Karnataka died under suspicious circumstances after alleging harassment by her husband. Her brother filed a complaint stating that his sister, Sunita Mahadev Desangi, had called him on October 22, reporting that her husband, Sanjeev Kumar, was harassing and assaulting her. She returned to her husband's home on October 4 after childbirth. Early on Friday, her husband informed her brother that her health had deteriorated. Upon arrival, the brother found her dead with injuries, leading police to book the husband for murder.
