In Delhi's Bela Estate, a slum colony near the Yamuna, only one voter remains after 727 names were removed from the list. The sole registered voter is Mahant Kanchan Giri of the local Hanuman temple, as the original settlement has been relocated. This situation came to light after Rahul Gandhi visited the area and highlighted the removal of names, questioning the process. The draft voter list for the area, '2-J J Bela Estate Vijay Ghat', now lists only Mahant Giri, aged 34, with the temple as his address.
