Calcutta HC Orders Ex-BDO Prashanta Barman To Surrender Within 48 Hours

The Calcutta High Court has ordered former Rajganj BDO Prashanta Barman to surrender before the police within 48 hours, by 3:30 PM on Thursday. Barman has been absconding for months in connection with the murder of gold trader Swapan Kamilya. The court also directed that his salary be stopped and his properties attached. The CID has been asked to submit a report, when the matter will be heard next. Barman and his associates are accused of abducting and murdering Kamilya over a financial dispute.

कलकत्ता हाईकोर्ट ने पूर्व राजगंज बीडीओ प्रशांत बर्मन को गुरुवार दोपहर 3:30 बजे तक 48 घंटे के अंदर पुलिस के सामने सरेंडर करने का आदेश दिया है। बर्मन सोने के व्यापारी स्वपन कामिल्या की हत्या के संबंध में महीनों से फरार चल रहे हैं। अदालत ने उनके वेतन रोकने और उनकी संपत्ति कुर्क करने का भी निर्देश दिया। CID से रिपोर्ट मांगी गई है, अगली सुनवाई कब होगी। बर्मन और उनके सहयोगियों पर पैसों के विवाद को लेकर कामिल्या के अपहरण और हत्या का आरोप है।
