Annie Andrews has made history by flipping South Carolina's Senate seat for the Democratic Party, marking the first time since 1998 a Democrat has won a Senate race in the state. Andrews defeated Republican incumbent Darline Graham, the sister of the late Senator Lindsey Graham, in a significant upset. Andrews outraised Graham significantly, largely through grassroots donations, and campaigned on issues like lowering costs for families and expanding healthcare.
