Kozhikode Corporation Launches Nirmalam Campaign For Comprehensive Waste Management

Kozhikode Corporation has initiated the ‘Nirmalam - Puthuyuga Suchitwa Keralam’ campaign, a State government initiative focused on transforming waste management through public participation. Mayor O. Sadasivan inaugurated the drive, which aims for comprehensive sanitation and waste management improvements between October 2026 and March 30, 2031. The campaign will be implemented in three phases, with short-term activities running until October 2027 and medium-term until June 2030. Scientific waste management practices will be enforced across various locations, including households, commercial establishments, and public spaces, alongside waterbody conservation efforts.
