Baby Sold For Rs 1.8 Lakh Rescued From West Bengal

Chhattisgarh police have rescued a baby boy who was sold by his mother for Rs 1.8 lakh when he was three months old. The rescue took place in West Bengal, approximately seven months after the transaction. Five individuals, including the baby's mother, an alleged intermediary, and the buyer, have been arrested in connection with the suspected child trafficking case. The buyer reportedly purchased the child because his daughter had only given birth to girls. The child is now around 10 months old and has been placed under protective care.

छत्तीसगढ़ पुलिस ने एक 3 महीने के बच्चे को उसकी माँ द्वारा 1.8 लाख रुपये में बेचे जाने के बाद बचाया है। यह रेस्क्यू खरीद-फरोख्त के करीब सात महीने बाद पश्चिम बंगाल में हुआ। इस कथित बाल तस्करी के मामले में बच्चे की माँ, एक बिचौलिए और खरीदार सहित पाँच लोगों को गिरफ्तार किया गया है। खरीदार ने कथित तौर पर बच्चे को इसलिए खरीदा क्योंकि उसकी बेटी ने केवल लड़कियाँ ही पैदा की थीं। बच्चा अब लगभग 10 महीने का है और उसे सुरक्षात्मक देखभाल में रखा गया है।
