US Envoy Hopes Belarus Frees More Prisoners

US special presidential envoy for Belarus, John Coale, hopes Minsk will release hundreds more prisoners following recent talks. He announced that Belarus will free 25 prisoners, while the US will lift sanctions on two Belarusian companies, Lakokraska JSC and Bellesbumprom concern. Coale expects to visit Belarus again in approximately one month. This development follows negotiations aimed at improving relations between the two nations.
