Russian authorities have denied implementing anti-plague measures following the suspected death of a laboratory technician from pneumonic plague. The 28-year-old woman, Darya Shipilova, worked at the Irkutsk Anti-plague Research Institute. Russia's health watchdog stated no plague cases were detected among those in contact with her, and extensive testing found no plague-related microorganisms. Local officials confirmed that a hospital quarantine was partially lifted, with most individuals released. The World Health Organization confirmed Russia reported no plague cases in Irkutsk city.
