New Namo Bridge to Replace 137-Year-Old Malviya Bridge in Varanasi

Varanasi is set to receive a new four-lane steel bridge named Namo Bridge, connecting Namo Ghat and Dumri village. This modern structure will replace the 137-year-old Malviya (Dufferin) Bridge, aiming to increase train operational speed and eliminate bottlenecks. The development is part of broader infrastructure upgrades in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's constituency, which also include a bullet train corridor and the new Vande Bharat sleeper train service between Banaras and New Delhi. These projects are designed to significantly enhance connectivity and travel convenience.

वाराणसी को नमो घाट और डुमरी गांव को जोड़ने वाला नया चार-लेन वाला स्टील का नमो ब्रिज मिलने वाला है। यह आधुनिक पुल 137 साल पुराने मालवीय (डफरिन) ब्रिज की जगह लेगा, जिसका मकसद ट्रेनों की परिचालन गति बढ़ाना और बाधाओं को दूर करना है। यह विकास प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी के संसदीय क्षेत्र में बड़े पैमाने पर बुनियादी ढांचे के उन्नयन का हिस्सा है, जिसमें बुलेट ट्रेन कॉरिडोर और बनारस तथा नई दिल्ली के बीच नई वंदे भारत स्लीपर ट्रेन सेवा भी शामिल है। इन परियोजनाओं को कनेक्टिविटी और यात्रा की सुविधा को काफी बेहतर बनाने के लिए डिज़ाइन किया गया है।
