The Ranchi Municipal Corporation (RMC) has ordered seven establishments, including hostels, lodges, and coaching institutes, to cease all operations within 24 hours. This directive follows previous notices to nine other institutions for regulatory non-compliance, with their responses deemed unsatisfactory. Civic authorities are concerned about residential properties being illegally used for commercial purposes without essential documentation like trade licenses and fire safety permits. Failure to comply will result in the sealing of buildings and further legal action.
