WhatsApp Guest Calling Lets Users Join Calls Via Link Without Account

Times of India · technology

WhatsApp has introduced a new guest calling feature, allowing users to join calls using an invite link without needing a WhatsApp account or the app. This feature provides free, end-to-end encrypted calls with no time limits for guests. While hosts can create links from their phone or web app, guests must use a computer browser to join, as mobile browser support is not yet available. Hosts maintain control, admitting guests from a waiting room and having the ability to remove them.
