PPF Interest Rate Unchanged at 7.1% for October-December Quarter

The government has decided to maintain the Public Provident Fund (PPF) interest rate at 7.1 per cent for the October to December 2026 quarter. This decision, notified on September 30, means savers will continue to receive the same return on their PPF deposits. The 7.1 per cent rate applies to fresh and existing PPF accounts from October 1 to December 31, 2026. This rate also applies to other small savings schemes like the National Savings Certificate and Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana.

सरकार ने अक्टूबर से दिसंबर 2026 तिमाही के लिए पब्लिक प्रोविडेंट फंड (PPF) की ब्याज दर 7.1 प्रतिशत पर बनाए रखने का फैसला किया है। 30 सितंबर को अधिसूचित इस फैसले का मतलब है कि बचतकर्ताओं को उनके PPF जमा पर समान रिटर्न मिलता रहेगा। 7.1 प्रतिशत की दर 1 अक्टूबर से 31 दिसंबर 2026 तक नए और मौजूदा PPF खातों पर लागू होती है। यह दर नेशनल सेविंग सर्टिफिकेट और सुकन्या समृद्धि योजना जैसी अन्य छोटी बचत योजनाओं पर भी लागू होती है।
