Indian equity benchmarks, the Sensex and Nifty, fell into negative territory during afternoon trade, reversing earlier gains. This decline was influenced by value buying after a previous session's sharp fall and supported by easing crude oil prices and reduced market volatility. The Nifty traded below the 23,050 mark, with the Sensex down slightly and the Nifty 50 index also experiencing a dip. Broader market indices like the BSE MidCap and SmallCap also declined, indicating a negative market breadth with more stocks falling than rising.

दोपहर के कारोबार में भारतीय शेयर बाज़ार, सेंसेक्स और निफ्टी, गिरावट में आ गए। पहले की तेज़ गिरावट के बाद वैल्यू बाइंग और कच्चे तेल की कीमतों में नरमी से बाज़ार को सहारा मिला था, लेकिन अब ये नीचे आ गए। निफ्टी 23,050 के नीचे चला गया, सेंसेक्स भी थोड़ा गिरा और निफ्टी 50 इंडेक्स में भी गिरावट देखी गई। मिडकैप और स्मॉलकैप इंडेक्स भी गिरे, जिससे बाज़ार में ज़्यादातर शेयर लाल निशान में दिखे।
