Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha has urged the central government to restore withdrawn flight routes connecting Agartala to major cities. Nine flights have been cancelled, impacting connectivity to destinations like Guwahati, Bengaluru, and Kolkata, leading to increased fares and travel difficulties. Saha also highlighted efforts to revive the non-operational Kailashahar airport under the UDAN scheme, which could boost regional travel and national security. Additionally, the state is considering a helipad in Dumboor to improve tourist access. Despite repeated requests, the civil aviation ministry has yet to address the connectivity issues.
