Action has been initiated against him under the Immigration Act for allegedly protesting without being an Indian citizen. Pandit stated that foreign nationals should educate themselves on legal restrictions before joining political demonstrations, suggesting such actions could defame the country and create unrest. Khan questioned the restrictions on freedom of movement and expression.
