Times of India · india
Routine food safety inspections across Ranchi district over the past month have revealed significant violations in over 150 establishments. Officials found issues including poor kitchen hygiene, improper labelling, and a lack of valid food licences. Suspected substandard paneer was also identified, with samples sent for testing. In some zones, industrial colouring agents were detected in chaat samples, and several vendors were fined. Laboratory reports have confirmed at least one paneer sample failed to meet prescribed standards, with further action pending consolidated results from all seven zones.
