Govt Puts Tata Sons On Notice To List

NDTV · business

Senior advocate Harish Salve stated the government has put Tata Sons on notice, requiring them to list. This is not a personal dispute but a government directive, as Tata Trust, a national asset worth $270 billion, must comply with listing requirements. Despite Tata Trust owning 66% of shares, listing is mandatory, even if shareholders disagree. Salve indicated that an IPO would resolve the ongoing issues and clarify the company's future governance and control.
