India's Top Order Form A 'Problem' For Gautam Gambhir, Ex-Star Explains

NDTV Sports · sports

Former India cricketer Gautam Gambhir has identified a unique challenge arising from the exceptional form of India's top-order batsmen. Shubman Gill, Rohit Sharma, and Virat Kohli have been instrumental in India's dominant victories in the first two ODIs against the West Indies. Their consistent scoring means the middle and lower order batsmen are not getting enough game time. This lack of match practice for the rest of the batting lineup could pose a problem in future matches where the top order might falter.
